O cinema como recurso para a desconstrução das práticas pedagógicas

Résumé

In this first quarter of the 21st century, pedagogical practices are challenged to adapt to the context experienced in all occidental societies. Portuguese scenario is no exception to social and economic problems, and it will be presented as exploratory example. Here, we may refer some aspects why we see that Portuguese students are largely marked by social speed, difficulty of concentration and excessive consumption of graphic content, as social media, TV, and video games. These challenges, of an extreme consume, arise in all spheres of society, and that constitutes the main reason of this study. So, we will focus this research on a role of alternatives that aim to promote new possibilities of knowledge construction with higher education students. In this exploratory context, we will present the creation of different projects developed around theoretical disciplines, namely, Introduction to Digital Media and Media Theory, using cinema to get through. In this framework it will be assumed pedagogical practice as a practice that is mediated by the teacher which purpose is to promote significant learning, involving research and creativity.
