Résumé

The aim of this article is to investigate the narrative proposal of the film Deslembro, by Flávia Castro, which associates the maturing trajectory of the character Joana with the political events in Brazil during the military dictatorship. Daughter of militant parents, still very young, she is forced to go into exile in France with her mother, due to the political disappearance of her father. When the Amnesty Law is enacted, they return to Brazil and the girl, now a teenager, finds herself in a country of which she has very few memories. The text seeks to understand how the dimensions of the young woman’s maturation process - the transition to the teenager, the discovery of the country and the search for information about her father - are expressed in the language of the film.
