Resumen

In a society where problems arising from man’s action on the planet trigger actions by climate activists and people concerned about the future of people and nations, we saw in cinema an important tool to address pressing issues to eliminate some problems in a climate cause. In a society that are widely studied by the United Nations through the monitoring and application of the Sustainable Development Goals at a global level, we saw in the cinema an opportunity to study the results of these objectives.
Aiming to achieve, by 2030, peace, diplomacy, and international cooperation to eradicate wars and conflicts that lead to poverty and insecurity among people at different levels, changes in biodiversity and climate force us to rethink ways of life to achieve soften the effects of these changes on the planet.
Hope (2020), written and directed by Abdulla Al-Janahi, is a film that addresses key issues in Environmental Education today. Based on the life story of a small turtle, it is the starting point to show how man’s action on the planet affects the lives of marine beings and the oceans.
