Abstract

In the 21st century, institutions are facing a series of challenges in face of rapid changes in society. Technological advances, social movements and tensions, climate change, wars, migration, and the housing crisis, among other issues, are leading to reflection on teaching and learning practices. In this context, the film Modern Times, by Charles Chaplin (1936), is used as an element of analysis to deconstruct and understand the transformations and changes taking place in different spheres. Thus, using knowledge of visual culture, design and project, an action plan was put in place to interpret, debate, and reflect on the configuration of visual projects, and from the elements focused on in the film to work on the elements and facts that make up current reality.
