Abstract

In order to follow the chosen research line - autobiographical creation - of the Arts Studies PhD project, two creations by Joana Craveiro and Teatro do Vestido were selected. The plays Elas Também Estiveram Lá and Um Museu Vivo de Memórias Pequenas e Esquecidas circumscribe the biographical and autobiographical genre, building from Lieux de Mémoire to give visibility to people’s stories without protagonism in the public arena, challenging the hegemonic narrative of patriarchy in the period before and after the Portuguese revolution.
