Ajustes razonables y métodos de inclusión como mecanismo de fortalecimiento de proyectos audiovisuales transmedia
Resumo
This paper aims to answer the research question: How do accessibility, inclusion, and reasonable accommodations help strengthen the creation of transmedia projects? The first part of the paper focuses on how reasonable accommodations can support narrative and creative processes, and how this can be applied to transmedia projects. The term “reasonable accommodations” is defined as those modifications to an artistic piece that ensure that people with disabilities can enjoy the projects autonomously. This is managed through the analysis of several Latin American projects that have consciously or unconsciously used accessibility, universal design principles and reasonable accommodations to innovate within the audiovisual field.
It has been concluded that many of the reasonable accommodations for people with disabilities respond to basic design needs such as good contrast, suitable layout and adequate sound design. Therefore, there is also an established relationship between a correct development of pre-production with an inclusive audiovisual final product. The main objective is to verify that transmediality allows a story to develop and expand beyond a single format, which broadens the viewpoints of each user and turns it into an experience that uses senses beyond sight and hearing.
