Resumo

The Ecovillage Santuário dos Jatobás is an association whose goals are reforestation, the construction of different ways of living and coexisting, and the relationship with the local community. The project Cinema: stories that transform emerged from an initial action developed by the group Vozes da Ecovila, in the school of the quilombola community, in which students created two video stories: “Life at School” and “Change”. The project seeks to consolidate the use of cinema in schools, in line with Federal Law 13.006/2014, which requires the screening of national films in schools. The project also includes the production of audiovisual works, interaction with other similar projects, training of teachers and multipliers, and collaboration with the education department of the municipality of Pombos in order to ensure the autonomy of the project, exchange with other regional, national, and international projects, and broaden the perspective of students and young people in the community to new professional, social, and cultural horizons.
