Resumo

The purpose of this communication is to present the creation of Collections for Art Direction as a strategy that collaborates with new models of sustainable audiovisual production and brings possibilities for developing proposals for the sector, from the perspective of the triad of responsibilities: environmental, social and economic. The Material Collection for Art Direction of UFF is structured around a collection of materials such as stage objects, furniture and costume pieces, which have been gathered over the years from donations from audiovisual producers, public and private companies. These materials require a series of protocols for their conservation and preservation, involving from the structuring of space with air conditioning and appropriate furniture up to the cataloging of materials and the systematization of procedures for control of output and storage of materials. In this work, we present some of the strategies adopted for the operation of a University Collection, considering the limitations of physical, human and material resources and the intrinsic difficulties in the management of a living collection.
