AVANCA | CINEMA 2025 – 16ª Conferência Internacional de Cinema: Arte, Tecnologia, Comunicação
MARROCOS – O primeiro convidado
AVANCA | CINEMA 2025 – 16th International Conference on Cinema: Art, Technology, Communication
MOROCCO – The first guest
In 2025, the AVANCA | CINEMA opens to the world with a landmark moment in its history: for the very first time, a country is invited as a special guest of this international conference. It is with great enthusiasm that we welcome Morocco, whose cultural richness and vibrant film creation have long bridged tradition and modernity, offering voices, stories, and perspectives that resonate far beyond their borders. Morocco’s presence reinforces the conference’s vocation as a space of cultural encounters and a celebration of diversity through cinema.
AVANCA | CINEMA has established itself, year after year, as a unique arena where academic research meets artistic creation. With a rigorous double-blind review process ensuring the scientific quality of all contributions, this conference could not exist without the commitment and dedication of its Scientific Committee, to whom we owe our deepest gratitude. It is through this effort that each edition becomes a place of discovery, debate, and knowledge-sharing.
At the same time, we are approaching a symbolic milestone: the 30th edition of the AVANCA – International Meetings of Cinema, Television, Video and Multimedia in 2026. More than just a number, this celebration is proof of the strength of a groundbreaking partnership that, from the very beginning, brought together academia and a film festival. A bond that has given Avanca and Portugal a remarkable international presence, projecting not only films and research but also a greater idea: that cinema itself is a territory of encounter, transformation, and future.
